Here is another weblog post that is somehow a followup from a recent weblog entry that I did on Corporate Blogging (10 Tips for Becoming a Great Corporate Blogger) where I was mentioning with John Cass how we would be doing an online interview to discuss corporate weblogging and successful weblogging specially from a business perspective. And since I want to keep this weblog entry sweet and short it is now with great pleasure that I would like to share with you that same interview is readily available over at Backbone Blogging Survey.
John just created a weblog post with the entire conversation we had using Skype and you would be able to read more about it over here: Luis Suarez’s Thoughts on Effective & Successful Blogging. You will be able to read over there what I feel would be the main key success factors to become a successful weblogger. And don’t worry, page / daily hits is not one of them, regardless of what some other folks may say. Here is my drop down of qualities for a successful weblogger, specially in the corporate world:
- Be constant.
- Be authentic.
- Be honest.
- Be committed.
- And, above all, be passionate.
Thus if you would want to read some more on the subject just head over there to go through the interview. Some of it may not be rocket science. On the contrary, pretty straight forward. Still not many startup webloggers realise about those key points till they see someone else talk about them. Thus if you are hesitant about weblogging in a business environment read on further in Luis Suarez’s Thoughts on Effective & Successful Blogging and feel free to share your thoughts over there or right here in this weblog post.
Some time later on John and I will be getting together for some other interesting discussions to share, but that would be another story. So stay tuned !
