If you are one of the folks who follow me in Dopplr, you would know that I am going to be on the road very soon again. Yes, that is right. March 2nd I will be going to Zürich, Switzerland, once again. This time around to attend IBM‘s Lotusphere Comes to You event where I will be one of the keynote speakers giving a session on Social Computing @ IBM.
This particular conference is part of a series of events that will be taking place over the course of the next few months all over the world, and which tries to extend further the amazing experience of Lotusphere 2008 (Which I have blogged about quite extensively just recently).
In Zürich I will actually be covering a 45 minute long presentation talking about Social Computing @ IBM and how IBM is driving the usage and adoption of social software within the corporate firewall and beyond for its knowledge workers, customers and business partners. Then right after my session Ron Sebastian will be doing another session where he is going to spend some time, and demo, some of the new tools coming out from IBM Lotus, which promises to be rather enlightening getting to find out some more on what was shown during Lotusphere 2008.
My slide deck is now done and although I am not sure whether I would be able to share it openly over here, I am just going to wait for a few days till I find out whether I can do it or not. At the same time, I am hoping that I may be able to record the audio of my pitch and share it as well along with the slide deck. We shall see.
After the "Lotusphere Comes To You" event I am going to stay over there the whole week long in various customer workshops & meetings talking, of course, around the topic of social networking, social software and why businesses should pay attention to it, along with spending some time detailing how some of the most popular social software tools actually work.
This basically means that I will be in Zürich the whole week long, and plan on returning back home on Saturday the 8th of March 2008. So here I am putting together this blog post, so that if you are around and would want to get together for a drink or two, or for hanging out, just get in touch or contact me offline. I will be looking forward to meet up folks while in there, and knowing that the Internet connection will be quite reliable I am hoping to be able to blog or twitter on the event and give you a sense of what will be happening. It will be my first Lotusphere Comes To You event, and I am surely looking forward to it!!
